How To Make A Man Feel Deeply Devoted To You

flowers
Happy Valentine’s Day! Today I want to talk about awakening a man’s heroic desire to make you happy.
This morning I was telling my husband how happy he makes me, and he smiled and said, “I love to make you happy, that’s my job…best job I’ve ever had!”
It really is true that men deeply yearn to be your hero – and the key to making a man feel deeply devoted to you is awakening his “heroic core.”

Men need to feel like your hero and like they’re “doing” something – that’s when they feel the best about themselves. Men are built to DO.

Most men don’t seek “commitment” the way women do – rather, good men seek DEVOTION to a worthy cause.

How would YOU like to be that cause? How would you like to get your man thinking all throughout the day, “What can I do to make her happy?”
In order to do this, here’s what you want to do to awaken a man’s “heroic core”:

1. Acknowledge and show appreciation for what he’s ALREADY doing for you that makes you happy.

Acknowledgment and appreciation are the “fuel” that men run on!

2. Invite him into little tasks at first, such as asking for help with something small when you need it.

For example, if you need help with fixing something in your house (it doesn’t matter how small the task is!), ask if he can help – and be sure to show a lot of appreciation when he does.

3. Continue to appreciate him as he accomplishes bigger and bigger “quests” for you.

He’ll feel admired, appreciated, and respected – and he’ll WANT to do more and more to make you happy to keep that feeling going since men crave these feelings.

Most women don’t know how to do this – they “demand” rather than “invite.”

When you fail to ask for what you want, you’ll never give a good man the opportunity to be your “knight in shining armor” and give to you what makes you happy.

Vague desires lead to inevitable disappointment.

Most people never truly examine what they really want – so they go into relationships with vague notions.
When you have vague notions, you have vague (usually outsized) expectations – which leads to a “crash” when you feel like your needs aren’t getting met.

When you take the time to clarify and articulate what it is you really want, you’re much better prepared to assess whether or not a man is right for you.

As an added bonus, he’ll have the gift of knowing what’s most important to you – so he can give it to you!

Men often need a little guidance when it comes to what makes you happy and what makes you feel fulfilled.

Since vagueness can be confusing to men, they love it when you tell them what makes you happy in clear, certain terms.

My husband always tells me that he loves how straightforward I am because he never has to guess how I’m feeling or what would make me happy. I’d love to hear how this works for you!

  1. Helena, thank you for this insightful article.
Simply bringing to attention that: “Most men don’t seek “commitment” the way women do – rather, good men seek DEVOTION to a worthy cause.” is incredibly helpful. Thankfully there are ways, as you described, to trigger his devotion for us. Thanks again, you don’t get this kind of information often.
